Women's History Month: Women in Technology Panel

March 12, 2009 is a historic day in my life. I was able to present the panel session on Women in Technology at Evergreen Valley College to celebrate Women's Herstory Month. I have been planning for a while and finally it came to reality. I was fortunate that two extremely talented technology empowered women accepted my invitation. They are both busy professionals, yet they were generous enough to take time off from their busy schedule to enlighten the students, faculty and staff of Evergreen Valley College with their knowledge and life experiences.

I am delighted to present professor and scientist, Dr. Natalie Batalha, and Silicon Valley engineer, Ms. Susmita Bhatacharya who you all can now learn from by viewing the video excerpts.

  1. Nasreen, I enjoyed this video and agree with Dr. Bathalha that technology absolutely is improving quality between men and women. There are a lot more women studying the fields of computer science and engineering, and technology is bridging the gap. The washing machine has helped close the gender gap, women are able to spend more time surfing the net instead of washing clothes by hand.
